Venus 1.6.2012

Venus imaged today with Equinox 120ED, Televue 3X barlow, IS DFK21 colour camera. Distance from sun was 7 degrees. I made tube extension of black cardboard to minimizing sun glare.

wow that's a very thin crescent! very nice image, lost sight of Venus a week ago. i could not believe how quickly it disappeared.

Today i imaged Venus again, i was trying to catch 360deg ring, but seems that 4.5 degrees distance from sun is still too much to show it totally.

Ring was about 260 deg. long, visually i saw it about 220 deg.
