Nice and clear again today so I took some time experimenting with the SPC900 for the close up AR avi's. Just to see what happened I set the camera to take at 20fps (normally I use 10fps). It seems to work with no dropped frames. There is little obvious difference in image quality with the exception of being able to stack many more frames - those shown here are around 400 from 4800.

I gave up on webcamming it , seemed to be so much turbulence that the results were not worth all the faffing about , I tried shoving framerate up too but found same as you , recorded loads more frames and then had most of them dumped by Uncle Reg anyway !!
