Hi Rainbow, welcome from me as well. Binos are the way to go, spend time to find a few targets, learn the sky, look out for the dates of meteor showers, see if you can find a club that will be viewing the transit of Venus next month (never look at the sun through a scope or bino's without a proper filter, very dangerous!)

You literally have the whole universe above your head, and some of the best sights can be seen through bino's or naked eye, enjoy youself.

Hi Rainbow and another welcome!

There is plenty you can do without any gear - how about a look at heavens-above.com to get info about Iridium flares and the International Space Station passing over - best seen with just your eyes!
