In preparation (hopefully) for the Venus transit I attached a Baader solar filter to an old Vixen 4 inch refractor to try my first ever image of the Sun. High cloud, stiff breeze and a wobbly tripod but I was well pleased. Single 1/500 sec. exposure using the Canon EOS 350D.

All things considered that's a corking snap, like you say though.. hopefully we'll get a good morning..
