My first image of Venus and I'm pleased that you can make out the shape of the planet as it's still the brightest object in the night sky at the moment after the moon.

It was taken using a Canon EOS 1100d whilst filming through a Celestron Ultima 80 spotting scope. I then put the video in Premier Elements, cut a still, put into photoshop and then cropped the final image! This was with me just putting my camera lens up to the eyepiece and also on full zoom on my camera and on the Spotting scope!

Yea I mean you can't get any detail on the planet at all without the hubble scope so my aim was to get the cresent shape and I got it!
