My first go at NGC 7000 North American Nebula

Another clear night last night, well till 12.15 that is , always wanted a crack at this one , and well pleased with the result, had a change as i needed to get as much of this as possible in the frame , so decided that the ED80would be the best bet ,

using a H-Alpha filter ,with the Atik 16hr.

Before i started , i redone the polar alignment although ground position is marked , it had move slightly , this made a big difference, just shows i must not get lazy lol.anyway i gave this image 1 hour exposure time of mixed sub times , processed in Maxim, using a mild ddp of 2% and used SD MASK,

Fantastic Image mate. I do really like the NA nebula. You've done it proud!

Must consider saving up for one of these ATIK's, the images that you and KK (not to mention all the others) are astounding!
