Tal 100rs solar white light

Here we go, my first white light solar image:D

This was captured today using my tal100rs, home made baader solar filter, using eyepiece projection method with revelation 32mm photo plossl, attatched to my Olympus pen epl-1 . I found it fairly easy, but trying to focus while looking at image in the live back of the camera was a bit tricky:rolleyes:

That focusing is daylight, is really tricky.

Well done Jules. Focusing is not easy. Next time you get a chance, take 30 or 40 frames and run them through Registax.

Excellent picture, fantastic for a first attempt. You'll get better and better at focusing, just takes practice.

Exellent first attempt - you may need some sort of light shield so you can see the camera screen. Focussing on the Sun can be very tricky as the image always tends to move in and out of focus.

Cant get the practise to get better............no blooming sun for weeks now!!

Well done! Focusing is indeed the trickiest bit but good focus can save you immense problems later in processing:)
