Carbon60

Recommended Posts

Managed to capture a few AVI's yesterday before the clouds rolled in here in NW. Tricky to get anything really suitable, but here's AR1471 in hydrogen alpha.

Processed with AviStack2, PixInsight,Gimp,Photomatix,Picasa3........so a lot of image processing!!

I hope you like it.

Cheers

Stu.

Dark and brooding.......

Fantastic resolution. Well done!

(If you do find any sun, send it over to Belgium.......)

What Ha system are you using????

Thanks Ken,

This was taken using a 150mm refractor with an internal 90mm ERF fitted with PST etalon and BF15. I used a 2.5X Televue Barlow to get to f25 and a DMK41 to capture the image in monochrome. Achieving a good image with this set-up can be a bit tricky, but I've found that rotating the BF and using a polarising filter on the camera seems to reduce any artefacts.

No sun to send unfortunately, but will do when it shows again!;)
