CPC 1100 - First thoughts.

Recommended Posts

Hi Andy. Yes you are right - choose SkyAlign and then press undo to edit - then you can input your approximate lat and long, date and time. Do it outside where the scope can see some satellites (not today maybe), and within a couple of minutes it should correct itself. Otherwise you can select scope setup from the menu, and choose setup time-site. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice cfpendock - I'll give that a go once the clouds part :(

The first thing you need to do is to learn how to control the weather, in particular local cloud cover. Good luck with your CPC 1100 - it's a fine telescope.

LOL......Im already brushing up on my weather dance.:(

Well you've had much better luck than us! We've had our CPC1100 for 3 weeks now and I have only had 2 nights where I could get out to use it and both nights I had to get up early the next day for work so had to retire earlier than I wanted :hello2:

Since then, it's clouded over every single evening :weep:

Got 30 minutes on Monday night to observe the moon through a thin veil of cloud before the full clouds rolled in again (There was no chance of seeing anything else that evening). The wait continues! (which is very frustrating!).
