Bubble Nebula - First Light

This is my first attemt so any constructive criticism is very welcome.

ED80 with F6.3 FR so about F5 I think. ATIK 16HR and HA filter.

Unguided 60 seconds X 10

Problems with stacking with Deepskystacker as it seemed to remove the HA data.

Tried Maxim, but it a bit too complicated at present, so used meade autostar image processing.

Then had to save a a .GIF , then into photoshop for autolevels cropping and saving as .JPG of

less than 100K.

I dont know what I am doing on the processing side, but hopefully that will come with time.

Regards

John

Many thanks for the remarks Rog.

No, it was not binned. Not sure when to bin or not. Will have to have a read up.

Got the camera last week and this was first chance to use it.

Seeing your images was one of the main reasons for getting the 16HR.

Did not have much luck tring to image with the DSI pro.

Got guiding working on my second image the Pelican.

Just used Artemis capture.

Have to learn how to get the best out of the data now.

Will revisit the bubble again ASAP.

I dont know whether to try it without the .63 Focal reducer next time.

I will be imaging soon with the SN10, but waiting a moonlite focuser for it.

Regards

John

Extremely good start I would say John. I am not qualified to comment too much, but from what I see there, you did a great job.

Rog. is the man for giving you sound advice, so whatever he says to you, I will be taking notes too. :(

Ron. :)

Well that shows the bubble clear enough so excellent work. I reckon you are going to come along at a great rate. As Rog says the bubble isn't easy. If you have maxim it is definitely the way to go for stacking. The help tutorials are very good. As you processing skills develop you will be amazed at what you can pull out. Definitely on track John
