A nice simple one for tonight. I love the PixInsight HDR composition tool for these clusters, makes combining short and long exposures so easy and fast with great results.

7x5min subs + 46 darks @ ISO1600 + 12x1min @ ISO1600, 5min and 1min Exposures stacked then combined in PixInsight using HDR composition tool.

Modded 1000D @ -3degC

skywatcher 8in f5 reflector.

Celestron CGE mount.

Baader MPCC.

CLS-CCD LP clip in filter.

Stacked in DSS and processed in PixIsight.

Splendid, resolved to the core and colour in the stars.

I haven't tried the HDR tool, good to hear positive feedback about it. Also your flickr pic is full size. I only seem to ge a max of 1000x750 pixels. Do you need the pro account to get it that size?

Tom.

Really nice.. I still dream of getting a core anywhere near that! I take it the 1000D is cooled?

Yes it's cooled, it sits at about -5degC

One of the only glob images I've seen I like! (not really a glob person)

More, and more and .... more! :)

I'm the same but this image is quite exceptional, I agree

Mind blowing to consider what this exceptional image actually represents. I missed an opportunity to view this image earlier in this year. I certainly won't make the same mistake twice.

Excellent image...:D

Always amazes me to think that there is still 1/3 of light year distance between most of those core stars..

Wonder what the night sky would like if our earth was right in the middle?

That is a beautiful image! Great depth and very captivating!

There's a thread about how to make stars round in PS etc. I reckon you can always do what you've done so beautifully here - just nail them in the first place!
