Skywatcher Auto Dobsonian base mechanical backlash issue

Hi all,

I have recently aquired the skywatcher collapsible 8" auto tracking dobsonian and was able to use it for the first time last night, got some great view of saturn!

Anyway, in the process of using it i noticed that there was quite a lot of backlash in the auto tracking/slewing. Is there a way of dialing this out? I know there will be some backlash but how much is normal?

If I placed saturn on the right or left of the view through the 10mm eyepiece and pushed the scope either towards or away from me it would completly traverse the field of view and disapear out of the other side.
