Ghost of Jupiter - a quick grab

This is something I got last night, it was the only part of the sky not blighted by clouds (very low, due south) so I thought I would give it a go. Its something thats always appeared in Stellarium, so I was curious as to what it was.

The thing that surprised me most was that it is far smaller than what is quoted in Stellarum - either that or im missing a massive outer halo? I was also surprised at how bright it was, in fact it was so bright it was beginning to create diffraction spikes.

Good job I decided to fire up ye olde 150P for this one, otherwise we would have needed a microscope to see it! :)

Hi Nadeem, yes i used the mpcc for this. I wouldnt go without it when using the newt, and with the 314 it gives me a pretty flat field. The spacing is dead easy to set up when compared to reducer i use for the ED80.
