M16 Ha-Ha/R-G-B

Managed to get some colour for my M16 shot last night.

RGB was 6 @ 2.5 Min's bin x 2 each.

I found it very hard to get a good colour image when combining the Ha and RGB data.

when I used the Ha as 100% Luminance the colour was washed out no matter how hard I pushed the saturation of the colour layer.

So in the end I went for Ha-Ha/R-G-B( L-R-G- with the Ha luminance layer set to 60% fill.

The Ha/R was a 50/ 50 mix.

Another problem was the smaller stars in the Ha image.

Very nice end result Mike.

I am not using any formal reference image but the colours look pretty cool to me. The detail has lost nothing with the transition to colour either.
