What's the best thing you've seen?

For me, two things - first the sight of Omega Centauri in my 10" newt when I lived in the high desert area of the SW U.S. and watching a Persid meteor shower at near storm conditions back in the 1980s - when it seemed thousands of meteors per hour were seen for about an hour during its peak with many fireballs leaving many 'smokey trails'.

There were many other events but these two stick in my mind the most.

I have to say only owning a scope for 7 months (130p flextube) i have seen a few clusters, andromeda galaxy, moon, saturn, mars, orion nebula but the thing that stood out for me was the amount of stars that are actually up there that you cant see through all the light pollution and no scope, that was a wow factor on its own
