phillips spc900/37

Hi there

I've seen one of these for sale on a US website. My question is does anyone know what the 37 bit is. I've not seen this mentioned on any other forums. If I buy this will I be buying the right webcam or is it a different model?

Also I've seen offers on eBay to get the spc900 modified for astrophotography what does this process involve? Does anyone have a pic of one so I can see what the webcam looks like when it is returned?

Googling "SPC900" will turn up loads of images of what these can look like. Modding the camera ranges from simply removing the lens and screwing in a machined nose piece to fit a 1.25" focuser tube, to using additional components to turn the video amplifier off and allow longer exposure control over the shutter.

Allegedly the "/37" bit is just a marketing thing and it's the same camera.
