Grabbed some more for this one M94 total exposure time 10mins shy of 8hrs.......with the usual kit.....the first time i imaged this i didnt realise it had an outer halo and i ended up processing it out....;)

Well done Peter...a great image.

I imaged this a couple of years ago and had to go over 24 hours at F8 to get the halo....a fast scope certainly helps with targets like this.

cheers mike, you are right those H2 regions stand out nicely but no H-alpha in this shot just plain old rgb

A very interesting target Pete, you have kept the balance well, revealing the outer dim ring whilst retaining the detail in the inner areas.
