Lovely pics everybody. I left the camera attached to my scope so I don't have any daytime pics :o I do have about 11 hours of misty galaxy subs to work through on a rainy day though :blob10:

Hi, and thank you to everyone who helped me at sgl7 nick, Lee and astrognome. I'm very new to this and it was a first outing for the neq6. My kit was all wrong for imaging... a televue f11 102 acro with a williams 66 reducer/flatner and a dodgy LV guide camera with a Nikon D7000 that will not shoot longer than 30secs with the software I have + a bottle of home made wine! I know it's not a good picture, but as a start point in this hobbie I hope it's a step in the right direction. Any criticism is most welcome as it will only help me improve. Thank you.

Apologies if I kept anyone up with the snoring.

Here is my Leo Triplet imaged from the SGL7 event.

Still can't believe the weather that we had, it was all over too quickly...Never mind can't wait for SGL8.:p:D:D

Thanks to Daz and everyone who helped to make the event a success once again. Please keep up the good work, it is really appreciated by everyone.:blob10::icon_salut::o

The image is also posted on the DSO section as well.

This is the final image made from the raw data that everyone saw when they visited me at the event; I hope you like it?

I might add some H Alpha to it at a later point.

I'll be posting some general picture of the event shortly...

Couldnt really use the DSLR in the daytime as it was modded, so I had to stick to a compact camera, though later on I did manage to get one good nightime shot :o

I also got a shot of Shibby slaving away over a hot laptop, trying to bash his previous night subs into shape (and quite good they were too), Rob's monster AP1200 mount and those lovely Taks (I think they were Martins?).

The TAKS belong to me!!! Darth-Takahashi otherwise known as Lord Sidious Hankey...:blob10::D:D (Neil Hankey)

I'm loving Glider's last picture with The Two Ians on the far left...what distinguished gentlemen they are! :blob10:

My Ian looks like he's shouting "Ahoy there!"

I'm liking the hat shots too. Nice. :o

My Bahtinov mask was laughing at me - when I was struggling to regain focus not realising I had loosened the lock ring on the ED80. JonH was trying to add me to his gallery at the time, not an ideal subject.

Another sort of smile from the crescent Moon.

I'm loving the orion reflected in the river shot, that's just jaw-droppingly awesome :(

We just got back now and I have to say it's been the best star party for visual astronomy that I've ever been to. Four nights out of five, last night and Sunday night being particularly amazing. Don't think I've been to bed before 3am all week! Zzzzzzz soon...

But first a few photos from me, including a couple more dog shots, can't have a star party without the 8" dog! :(

Wish i'd had 2nds on that hog roast, I had two tickets as well! Cheers to Daz for finding me in the queue as it was something I forgot to pick up when I arrived.

We must have one of those again next time, you cant underestimate the restorative powers of a hog roast - it brought me back from the dead!
