NGC 6960 - Western Veil - 350D

Did not realise that this is much fainter than the Eastern Veil. Perhaps try less images but longer exp for each image. Thin cloud did not help. Faint satellite trail through the bright star.

130mm APO , F6 , 30 X 2min , 800 iso.

Well done John, it is faint and you've managed to pull out some great detail. I wouldn't complain about high cloud hereabouts, some of us would give our eye teeth just to be able to catch sight of a star once in a while :D

Excellent image, truly superb. The Veil is simply enormous, and this captures not only the Witch's Broom, but many of the small knots of remnant spread out throughout the nebula. It's nearly impossiblt to visually detect these small knots, but they show up very nicely in this image. Well done!
