M57 - pulled from the wreckage

Pulled this of my drive after a particularly bad+frustrating night of dodging clouds last week.

This is a SINGLE sub, 300sec @ IS1600, autoguided, NS8GPS, then tweaked a bit in Photoshop CS, and resized to 25%.

More subs would have been great, but the clouds stopped this during the middle of the second sub <sigh>

That's amazing Steve. You've worked wonders with the guiding. 2000mm f/l is a serious challenge and those stars look great.

I`m guiding with the Off Axis Guider, so i`m also guiding at 2000mm f/10, which helps. Hence why I am stressing so much about the piggy back OTA in the other thread... i want to piggy back, but also want to get good guiding with it.

Was just reading the recent Practical Astronomer article on "Galactic Duos", and there was M57 plus IC1296. Looked at the above image, and yes, its there... barely!
