First half decent attempt at a DSO M81 & M82

I got this with a ST102 and a Canon 1000d unmodded,16 x 30s,iso800.I'm sure it could be better with some proper processing,I hav'nt a clue there.Alignment was off a bit as well,I'll have to work on getting that better also.

I'm no whizz at processing (or imaging for that matter), but this is great for one of your first tries! You've picked up the filaments in the Cigar and the outer dust lanes are starting to show in M82 as well.

I'm surprised more and more with what people can achieve with small set-ups. I need to get on it myself I think

Thanks for the encouragement everyone,I played around some more in CS5 and managed a bit more out of the pic { I think }. Any comments and or suggestions please.
