Baader Hyperion any good for sw 200p

hi

ive got a skywatcher 200p f5 newt and thinking of getting a baader hyperion,would these work well in my scope or is there something better at similar price tag , ive just got a couple of x-cel xl (18,9) only had little use ,damn cloud , would the baader be better ?

ps im a newbie so any other related info would be appreciated

Oh yes - i've used the hyperion with a 200P - lovely views.

Which size of you thinking of buying ?

hi im thinking something either side of me 18 and 9mm not sure wots for best , maybe a 6 or 5mm and not sure for me low power , any ideas

Maybe you should consider the hyperion zoom?

Try a zoom! You get an 8,12,16,20,and 24mm all in one, with Baader optics. Just find your target with the 24mm then zoom in!! I love mine, suits the 200PDS fine. Plus I attach my DSLR directly to it!!

One may lose a little "quality" using a zoom but, IMHO, this is more than made up for by the versitility and flexibility of the baader zoom system.

I wouldn't worry about a very slight quality loss under our skies I doubt if anyone could tell the difference. The fov is also slightly smaller at 24mm. It's a good versatile EP. Mine woeks very well in my 200p and also my ED80 - very sharp !
