woooooohoooo! saturn!!

its probably the biggest wow moment together with Jupiter and M42 for most of us starting out I guess- I had to up out at about 5.30am to see it the first time- frightened the life out of the milkman :0)

My big scope see's saturn nicely but the first view was thru a bird watching spotter scope(x45mag) in the back garden at dawn, it was the last 'star' to fade in the dawn sky and proof that a big expensive scope isn't required to see some great stuff up above. Orion also shows well and jupiters moons and stripes just show thru the 'spotter' scope.
