Do I need dew tape for an ED80?

Up to now I only have experience of dew magnet SCT's, so do I need to get a dew heater tape for my SW ED80 pro? I have not had a problem so far but have I just been lucky or do you get away with it with a refractor?

Yes you will. I get dew on mine. To be honest though, I don't have a dew heater on mine either. It is light enough to remove from the mount, take indoors let the heat get rid of dew and then back outside again.

Takes about 10 minutes. let the scope cool down again for 20 minutes and you are viewing again 30 minutes max.
