Camera ccd problem (digi-cam)

So I have a fujifilm finepix e900 and the optical zoom lens on the front had stopped working so I removed it to see what kinda of images I can take by revealing the ccd sensor and attaching it to the telescope. The lens came off fine and while (hap-hazardly) attaching it to the scope I was able to take what looked like good photos using the LCD viewer on the back. However the problem came when I reveiwed the images on the pc, this is how they started turning out...

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

It looks like some sort of fresnel pattern, possibly a filter in front of the sensor or you were shooting through a net curtain.

Or a moire pattern.

Now that i've looked again at the camera the ccd isn't fully exposed. There seems to be what could be a filter so i'll remove it and see how it goes.
