What a beautiful night it has been and I've had a goog old look around the Universe. I particularly enjoyed visiting the Intergalactic Wanderer again - 300,000 L.Y. from us and from the Galactic centre. Here are a few quick Watec images....

To be honest I don't consciously set the Watec. I just plug the video cable into a TV monitor and adjust the gain to get a clear image on the screen. Then I plug the video cable into a video grabber connected by USB to a laptop running CyberLink Power Director v5 software. This by default is set to 'AVI High Quality Profile' and I just use that. I really should get more into gamma, Iris control, frame rates etc. but the way I do it provides what I want, i.e. a quick and easy visual record of what I've observed which resembles what I see through the EP.
