2011 Planetary imaging showcase

Recommended Posts

Please use this thread to showcase your best images captured during 2011. Just one post per member but you can include up to 5 images if you want.

The thread is for all imagers novices and advanced. Hopefully we will be able to do the same again next year. Over time we will be able to see the progress which is being made by individuals and as a forum.

Please keep details to a minimum - scope and camera possibly along with a few comments.

The thread needs to be packed with images so please don't respond to the postings

OK I'll join in then.

I use a Celestron 9.25" SCT on an EQ6 with a permanent (if v wobbly) set-up in SE London.

At the start of the year I was using a SPC900; my best image with this was Saturn from 8th March, which the Sky at Night chose to use in their April show!

Later in the year I got hold of a DMK with the 618 chip and some Astronomik filters, which gave me this Jupiter from November 10.

Cheers all

Jim

I just realised something is up with my upload now and I can't edit it. (It isn't anywhere near full size...)

Let's try this one. Feel free to merge/edit with the original post accordingly:

I've verified this one is the proper 2500x2500px size so if it changes then the fault lies with ImageShack.

Sorry about that!
