Please use this thread to showcase your best images captured during 2011. Just one post per member but you can include up to 5 images if you want.

The thread is for all imagers novices and advanced. Hopefully we will be able to do the same again next year. Over time we will be able to see the progress which is being made by individuals and as a forum.

Please keep details to a minimum - scope and camera possibly along with a few comments.

The thread needs to be packed with images so please don't respond to the postings

I have only been imaging for six months so my pictures are no way as good as those above (and below). But I am happy about what I have achieved and hope to show better results next yer :-)

All pictures taken with equipment in signature (Dumbbell and M51 were unguided).

M101, NGC2024, M27, M81 and M51.

I was waiting for this thread to go up :-)

Well, 2011 was my first year in this hobby, and I think I came on quite a bit from image 1 to my last image of the year.

My gear changed a lot through the year so I'll list the camera/scope with each pic.

M42: first ever astro pic - Meade 127mm Apo, Eos350D, unguided

I took a total of over 20 images last year... I fear this year will be a lot leaner, but I hope to make it a year of quality rather than quantity. Moving to a house with a dark garden in April will help :-)

There are some amazing images that have been posted on here sofar. It has been a quite end of 2011 and begining of 2012 for me. Just buying my first house, so im trying to get that sorted first. I am looking forward to SGL 7, and hopefully do some more imaging.

My favourite images from last year...

Yikes! Where do I start? It was my first full year with the Atik 314L+, and despite the amount of cloud we've had, overall its been quite productive. Would'nt say "no" to more clear sky though :)

It's pretty much the same old with me. I like wide field Narrowband.

I thought I'd include some of my most colourful snaps :)

All taken with camera lenses and Moravian 8300.

Cheers,

Dave.
