I'm getting out early hours again for more comet imaging, comet ISON has reported to of brightened to naked eye visibility in last 24 hours also reports it's actually breaking up so may be last chance. I've posted a few pics and videos of the comets on the website.

We've been there before Nick although last time it was also blowing a gale too!

well you moon bashers I've been out having a good look at some lunar features. Seeings not good though. Not helped by me having a few glasses of wine. I'll need to be careful carrying my CPC back into the garage!

The moon is so bright its making my eyes water - even with a filter on. Reminds me of when I MIG welded a garden planter for my mum!

Breaking news comet ISON has gone into outburst so maybe last chance to see it over next few days.

Well comet hunting going well just done an hour on Lovejoy and now switch it ISON which is looking stunning with its double tail.

Replacement screen for my broken netbook arrived today, fitted it ok and it works fine. £27 delivered from ebay, bargain.

Now I need some clear skies to get imaging again.

Probably off to the National Space Centre at Leicester this weekend, should be fun

Yeah next week the moon is still high in the sky and quite full 98-75% and it rises around midnight so not good.by Monday it's getting much better though.

Was thinking of going early soon as dark moon rises around 9:30 Tomoz also it's not gonna be a problem for me as going to try some narrowband imaging. Up to you if you wanna join me

observing gets much better from next week onwards and the weekend of the 6/7/8th im not at the girlfriends so may try and get out further afield if the weather is good.

im thinking of places much much darker than Sutton I want to try and either get back to hawes or cawfields or maybe even back to Galloway if its nailed on good weather.
