Comet C/2009 P1 Garradd. 11.feb morning

Recommended Posts

I took this image 11.feb morning with 250mm f/5 Newton and EOS600D. 52x1min subs. Stacked with DSS comet stacking mode. Temperature was -24C and lot of ice smoke in sky, SQM-L showing 18.2.

Dust tail and gas tail showing almost opposite directions now.

Image is about 50 arcmin wide, slightly cropped.

I hope you like it.

I had to reject some images, because of ice smoke clouds spoiling them. Thats why image is missing parts of startrails.

Thanks for your comments! It is interesting to follow how comet tails change pointing direction during time.
