First Astronomy purchase!

I've bought my first Astronomy item, a pair of Celestron Skymaster 15x70 and a tripod which arrived today.

The binos have now jumped up price by £20 since I purchased them 3 days ago, which is a stroke of luck!

I also purchased 'Philips stargazing with Binoculars' which should be some use.

Also managed to track down a copy of 'The Backyard Astronomer's guide'. Which I'm finding a fantastic and informative read. Thanks to threads on here recommending it!

Now I just need a clear night when I'm not working (fingers crossed Sunday)

Congrats on the bins, nice timing, you will find along with a new astro purchase the clouds come with it as well.

Congrats on the bins. They are quality. Would advise on getting a new adaptor to fit the bins to a tripod as the one that comes with them isn't very good.

I've looked at a new adaptor. You was right it's very flimsy. A replacement is on the way

Clear skies it isn't..

However I did get a 15 minute window last night and saw M42 for the first time and was amazed. Truly beautiful, so much more appears.
