First Go At The Moon

Got my first scope yesterday, although it was extremely foggy and cold the moon was still visible so thought i would give it a go imaging it. So here are my first pictures taken using a sony alpha dslr

Shouldve probably added they were taken using a Skywatcher Explorer 150p on an EQ3-2 mount.

You should be pleased with your first lunar captures, they are very good.

It's not easy imaging the full moon, but you managed to get some nice contrasts across the fully illuminated disc.

The Exif info. shows iso 800 and 1/10sec.

Perhaps the misty conditions provided a useful filter .

Was this by design, or did you experiment to find these settings were what you liked?

Either way, they look good .

I was just having a mess around with various settings, those 3 I posted where my favourites, i've got tons more with different settings but i think i mostly underexposed them.
