I all, I'm relatively new to astronomy and looking forward to getting immersed. I currently have a small 4" reflector but I'm looking to get a 6" or 8" MCT or SCT in the summer, any advice on what is best would be appreciated.

I look forward to some good debates and hope I'll be able to contribute.

Hi,

I'm also an Essex based newbie to SGL, so unfortunately can't give you much help just yet, but good luck picking a new scope!

It took me about 6 months recently to decide on my first scope. Went for a Celestron C8 NGT from FLO (got it for Christmas :D ) and am very pleased with it indeed. However, as I was repeatedly warned before hand, I am now hooked, and ready for some expensive additions!
