Don't be shy in asking questions, as anything you need to know will undoubtedly be answered on the forum by someone. As for choosing a new scope, I personally would recommend the larger aperture scope, but, that is only my opinion. Your own hard earned money should be the prime factor in your choice. Having said all that, a six inch telescope is a fine instrument for anyone starting off in the hobby. More advice will follow from others I'm sure. Good Luck. Ron.
