Celestron C8-SGT XLT GOTO

Does anyone have this scope? If so im wondering how it would compare to a nexstar 8se... ? I prefer an EQ mount I just dont want to be setting up for an hour... call me lazy!

It's the same scope on the cg5gt mount. if you are just doing visual work and need portability the se is probably the one to go but people have been able to image with this mount although not very well with this scope combination for visual I like the se system it's very quick to set up and relatively portable but if I had any aspirations to do some imaging on a budget the cg5gt is probably the mount I would go for

Not interested in imaging... Id have to sell my pets, girlfriend and car to be able to afford it.... on second thoughts...

In that case go for the se no polar alignment, needing to balance the scope just let it cool and set the goto and your away. I use a nexstar 5 and I can be observing in 2 mins if my scope is cool

Optically same OTA besides paint colour and finder... stock rdf on 6/8SE is next to useless

it's the same rdf on the 5 and mine works fine
