Modding a webcam? Need an IR cut filter?

I've been modding a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 webcsm. This involves removing the lens module that includes the IR filter.

A 1.25 inch IR cut filter is £20-£30.

Instead I've fitted the following direct to the sensor.

A lot cheaper. :icon_salut:
