My Best Red Planet

Hi all went out this morning at about 3am with the intention of trying to capture a decent image of Saturn, after several failed attempts and near frost bite, i gave up but just before i came in i thought i would have a quick look at Mars. when i got it in the eyepiece i was amazed by the detail that could be observed so i quickly stuck my webcam in the scope and captured aprox 3000 frames at 10fps and i am glad i did as its my best yet:D

Shows whats possiible with a small scope and a webcam doesnt it. Mars still has a couple arcsecs to grow yet. Keep at it, and i think you will do even better. Great shot at this small Mars apparition
