ISS and Atlantis Tonight (Woot!)

This is the first time I have ever tried catching the ISS or shuttle on camera. I guess this is where the S6500fd comes into its own as I can set exposure times.

All are 10 sec exposures and F3.2 unless stated.

ISS

And Atlantis about 10 mins behind it.

This one is 15 secs

Mega pleased with these, especially as its the first time I have ever tried doing it! It was alot of rushing about to try and get as many shots as I can! Thats my exercise for the week LOL

Nice catch! Unfortunately, the first time I can see Atlantis is the 13th. ISS passes are very far north from here. You are much better positioned to see it.

Ace set of pictures, though you could have said earlier. I've been eating a curry so I missed the latest pass. Cloudy as * here, so not a lot lost.

And it's second pass at 00.20 (it obviously aint operated by Vergin or Arrive, it was about 2 mins early!)

Atlantis seemed to just vanish!

Try a longer lens next time. I'm sure you will see the crew waving to you!
