How to convert FITS and TIFF into JPEG?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am new in astrophotography and learning how to stack images. Today I have stacked two images (JPEG) of M42 using the Deep Sky Stacker. The final image appeared was saved as FIT format. Now the newly saved image doesn't open in my computer. Not even in photoshop or any other program. I want to convert it into JPEG and want to process more using photoshop. Can anyone help? :)

Finally I could convert the TIFF into JPEG using Picasa Image Editor. I just opened the TIFF file in Picasa and then saved it as JPEG. I stacked two images of M42. Each was captured with 4 sec exposure at ISO 3200 and f/4.5 using 55-250mm lens. The camera was mounted on a simple lightweight tripod.
