Great! But I am missing something or do a lot of the other stars seems to be moving as well (albeit from top to bottom) whilst M1 remains steadfastly in the middle of the image??

The moving dots are "hot pixels" from the CCD camera. These are raw unprocessed frames. The frames have been aligned on M1 which is why the normally static hot pixels appear to move around the frame...
