I helped a mate unpack a 14" SCT a few years back. The box the OTA came in was about as long and wide as our dining room table and about 4 feet tall. It took both of us to lift the OTA out and onto the mount although I've seen a video of one person doing this - must have been a strong guy !.

Seriously, you would have to be committed to haul that monster around anywhere. My glass back wouldn't stand a chance.

I think you would have to employ one two of the worlds strongest man competitors to help.

It's a Tak EM400 and a C14 EdgeHD. I have seen people bring larger rigs to star parties.

The amazing things are his expertise to modified the mount control system, write software to track and image satellites, and the dedication to drive hundred of miles to image that probe.

Incredible :(
