C11 Collimation

Recommended Posts

I'm about to replace the standard phillips screws on my CPC 1100 with a set of Bob's knobs. I'm happy with the process required to change the screws but I wanted to know if anyone has used the method of collimation shown here. I plan to change the collimation screws in daylight and this seemed a logical method to give me a good starting point prior to some after dark fiddling. Will this method get me thereabouts or not?

Thanks

Dave

Just read this thread as I was going to fit Bob's knobs to my C11, glad I did as it wasn't as scary as I expected. Just need to do a star test when weather improves, just tested on local landmarks and seems an improvement

thanks
