I too was watching this auction with great interest, if i had money i would have been bidding for sure! congrats with your new scope im glad it went to a SGLer:) have you had the chance for any time under the stars with it yet?.

Not yet, only picked it up on Saturday.

The mirror needs a good wash as it is dirty as hell.

The weather here coupled with getting stuff done for Xmas means I'll be lucky to do much before the new year.

TBH I'll be rebuilding it pretty much straight away after first light anyway as at the moment it's about as portable as a battleship on land.
