Hi everyone

My name is Ray.

I have just got my first telescope with an equatorial mount.

It's a SEBEN 150/1400 big boss with a motor drive from eBay.

I have read reviews on these telescopes and know it is not the best on the Market but I have just had some amazing views of Jupiter through it so I am happy with it. But I am looking forward to seeing through a proper telescope lol.

What I would like to know is where do people meet up to stargaze? I would hate to have to explore the wonders of the sky alone. ( and some help learning to set up the scope properly would be appreciated ).

hi Ray....& welcome to the forum

when ya sign in to the forum... below the welcome bit...is a blue line with community...then in a thicker blue line look for...south coast astronomers...might be a good place to start
