10x50 meade travel view bins .

just won a pair on the fleabay for £12.00, now i did so on a whim without really researching them. i read they are multicoated and have bak4 glass. so thought i'll have a punt.

any one have experience with these ?

my pentax 10x50 which i also bought 2nd hand have never really give me good images sinse day one. they are fine for daytime use, but although usable,never can get them quite right for astronomy use.

so hopefully these meades work a little better.

ok, no one uses them( not a good sign) ahh well £12.00, should have em in the next day or two. i'll test them out.

i read that they are the same company as bresser in the bin's department.

i shall attempt a review compared to my pentax's.

Bresser is the European name/brand for Meade. If these bins are anything like the bresser 10x50 bins sold in Lidl's every now and then....they should be/are pretty good.

I have a pair of the Meade 10x50's not good I'm afraid they would not focus to infinity and the collimation was out by a bit but they are fine for daytime use. Yours might be better and for £12 its worth a go.
