Keeping warm whilst observing.

Having a recent need to find something to provide constant warmth to some problematic joints of mine I found a rather nice solution that could be useful in helping folks keep warm.

Its not clothing but atm what i'm using to see if the heat helps my joints in the colder temps of winter (thankfully this one was rather mild) are those 'Deep heat' patches.

They are like a giant sticking plaster and once activated by air provide a constant heat for 8 hours.

Stick one or two of those on, in some strategic areas, under all the layers of thermals & outer clothes etc and i'd think you'd be kept very toasty warm & while the 'deep heat' ones are one use only, its possible to get ones you can warm up in a microwave that do the same function apparently.

just taking a break from the clear skies for some food and i can confirm that my new dew liner suit works an absolute treat.

I look like a complete plonker but i'm toasty warm. And it smells, but who cares!!

Hands up that I'm a "southern softy" emigrated from London to Norfolk; but the fast few clear nights haven't just been cold, they've been blinking freezing. How do you keep warm outside in what is a sedentary hobby?

Chris

This works for me

tights, socks, 3 pairs of soft PJs and a pair of joggies.

a vest, t shirt, another t shirt, 2 thin jumpers, a body warmer.

2 or 3 scarves

hat

and gloves (when I can find them)

I look like a bag lady but hell I am so toasty!
