Flaming Star Again

I vowed to gather more data for my last attempt (see here) at the flaming star, which I proceeded to do on Sunday night. However, it doesn't seem to have made too much difference...

I just can't seem to pull the faint stuff out from the bright sky background. It was really quite hazy so I think that's to blame, or is it perhaps the read noise of my camera that's limiting me? (surely not with short subs?) I don't know

21x120s + 20x240s unguided

ISO 800, Canon 450D

Hi Lewis - yes I found it was hazy on Sunday but not obvious to the naked eye so perhaps it's worth trying again on another night for the fainter stuff. Still a good image though.

A great Image for a dslr!

A bit noisy but Still GREAT.

I Think that if u add more subs to it the it will "cool down" ,refering to the noise, and help u stress it a bit further.

Well that is pretty darn good for a DSLR. I remember imaging this last year and found how difficult it was to pull out the blue nebula. So huge congrats on this work.
