Whilst watching the successful launch of "Curiosity" the biggest ever extraterrestial explorer to leave this planet on its 354 million mile journey to Mars, its worth remembering that of the attempted 37 missions that have been destined for Mars, nearly two thirds sadly have ended in failure. In recognition of these attempts I thought that you might like to see

light hearted animation that puts it all into perspective.

Great find JBM-what an expensive bunch of flowers that would have been at the end!

NASA press release says 'the arrival will involve the first-ever guided entry through the martian atmosphere'!! Hopefully it will return some interesting findings
