Jupiterholic
I've been wanting to catch the GRS on the limb for a while as its quite a challenge to get good clarity on it when it is, so I'm really pleased I got it last night. The seeing was really good where I am. I shot it for an hour in the end. These are the best of the batch. F20 and F30 versions shown here.

cgarry
Great images. I was imaging Jupiter at the same time but found myself fighting with the seeing, with focus coming and going as it felt like it!Cheers,Chris

Jupiterholic
Great images. I was imaging Jupiter at the same time but found myself fighting with the seeing, with focus coming and going as it felt like it!Cheers,ChrisI found seeing was good for the hour I was out, though had noticeably dropped by 10pm. But my god the dew! Every 5 minutes with the hairdryer. My scope was actually dripping water onto the ground. My neighbours must think I'm such a weirdo. Even I'm starting to think I'm a weirdo. smerral
Terrific stuff! I imaged it with the Mak 127 last night - the seeing was only average though...

Nice detail in these shots
oldfruit
Nice set of images, i like the second picture most due to the detail visible in the cloud bands.

Nice detail in these shotshmmm.. interesting. I always thought it would be the other way round as you peer through miles of moisture particles. But given my problems with dew last night and the good seeing I had vs the bad seeing yourself and cgarry had minus the dew, you might be right. astroman001
Some nice images there, a slight fog often goes with great seeing, not sure dew and seeing are related, it's just a pain.regardsPeter
