Okay, lets explain: The Inn had a wood burning fire, the type where you open the door to feed it.

The chap (what's welsh for chap?) at the pub fed it several logs but later, when it started to die down, Jamie fed it another. Unfortunately, the log he chose, the one above the fire, was fifty years old and had become a feature of the Inn. Apparently, it had great sentimental value....

I asked the pub owner what it was about the log that made it so special but I didn't get a clear answer.

I did notice a new sign by the fire saying 'Staff only to feed the fire'.
